About

My husband and I have been blessed with two beautiful children, a six year old son and a three year old daughter. Our family lives in White Rock, British Columbia.
I left my career four years ago to become a Stay at Home Mom. It was a financial struggle for us in the beginning, but together we created a new plan that helped us overcome that barrier.
I have been writing a parenting column for the past four years. I am currently writing for the Now newspaper and the column is called "Mom's Life". I discuss the ups and downs of being a Mom and address issues that all parents face with their children.
My educational background includes a degree in English and Communications from Simon Fraser University in 1995 and a Journalism Certificate from Langara College in 1998.
My career has encompassed a variety of professions ranging from an insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter, Commercial Broker and Account Manager; to a writing career which includes working as a Communications Coordinator for a large education company, a Reporter for Associated Press at the APEC summit (I was in the traveling pool for President Clinton), a Researcher for the BC Press Council, and an Opinion Columnist.
In addition, in 2007, I founded a company called Enterprising Moms Network, which provides education and support for moms who want to work from home through monthly chapter meetings and an on-line forum.
But the best and most rewarding career I have ever experienced is being a Stay at Home Mom for my children - bar none.
