The Stay at Home Mother

So I am really excited about sharing this with my readers. As many moms know, I have a company that helps moms with their businesses - it is called Enterprising Moms Network Inc.www.enterprisingmomsnetwork.com

And on October 21st, my company is producing an event featuring Suze Orman at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver to talk about women and money.....and in doing so, empowering women to take charge of their financial future (and their family's)...

In this blog post, I am going to take a bit of a "side-step" from my usual ones. I read with interest an article written by a woman who, for lack of a better term, is viewing the world "differently" than us "stay at home moms."

Her name is Josey Vogels and she the syndicated sex columnist of "My Messy Bedroom"- and is completely and totally - anti-children.....

So it's count down time for kids - and parents - to start thinking about school. For my son, its a whole new chapter in his life. He is starting kindergarten. And as many parents know - any type of routine change is major in a child's life. So what are some of the things we can do as parents to make the transition easier on them?....

So yesterday, in the late afternoon, we took the children to the PNE. It was my two year old daughter's first time at the Fair, and I was anxious to see how she would like it.

Needless to say, as soon as we go there, she was instantly whisked away by her five year old brother to go on the car ride, the boat ride, the slides, the fun house, the helicopter ride and many, many others....and she loved every minute of it...

Today I hosted my sister's baby shower. She is expecting her first child in September. I have been very excited to plan the event, and had all of our friends and family attend.

It's so funny how after we have had our own children, when we encounter a "mom to be", we want to share all our knowledge and wisdom with them in hopes that they will learn from our mistakes....be a bit wiser with motherhood...
