The Stay at Home Mother

So tonight is the big night for tick-or-treating, eating tons of candy and attempting to get the kids in bed at a reasonable hour.

Although I am unsure about the last part, I do know my kids are really excited to go trick or treating in the neighbourhood and get as much candy as possible.

I'm a big sucker when it comes to Halloween.  I start decorating at the beginning of October and I have our costumes bought at least three weeks beforehand...

So I am really excited about speaking at the Enterprising Moms Fall Networking Social on "Busting the Myth of the Perfect Mom."

It's something we all struggle with from time to time.  We try to live up to impossible standards that we set for ourselves and then berate ourselves when we fall short....

Since my husband began his new job - he has been training abroad for the past few weeks.  And in a word - it SUCKS.

I am fully capable of looking after my children on my own, and have enjoyed the one-on-one that I've had with each of them during the day and night.

But there is that part of me, that is so relieved that this isn't a permanent situation.....
