The Stay at Home Mother

If you are a mom (or a soon to be mom) then you probably have either read or are in the process of reading one of Heidi Murkoff's "What to Expect" books. The book "What to Expect when you are Expecting" was my bible when I was pregnant with my son.

Now - Heidi and her "What to Expect" Foundation, has recently released a Guide to helping families keep their homes healthier. It's practical, and full of great ideas and tips.

Her foundation received funding from the Clorax Company for the Guide. Clorax has been around for more than one hundred years and their bleach is a staple in my home.

In the Guide, Heidi offers simple ideas to combat germs in the home and stop them from speading. She offers flu fighting tips and how to easily avoid speading it to the entire family.

She also offers up tips for the safe handling of breast milk, baby food, etc.

It's so funny because everything in it is so well laid out and straight forward that you wonder why so many of us aren't doing some of these very basic things. I mean. we all know the rules about hand washing and covering our mouths when we cough...but do you know how many people I have witnessed out in public not following those very basic rules?
