Words of Wisdom
Ok - I admit it. I am a strong believer in the power of positive words and thought provoking sayings. I have them throughout my house, and I have them on my computer. Even if I am not intentionally looking at them every day - they still sink in to my subconscious.
And so each and every day I am reminded of all the positive things around me, and the power within me to acheive my greatest dreams - and be the best mom I can for my children.
There is a book and video called "The Secret", and really - its not a secret. It's just about the power of positive thinking and visualizing what we want to happen in our lives. We don't have to limit ourselves - ever.
For instance there is a story of the two mice who were in a lab and both were placed in a jar with a lid. The first mouse kept trying to push the lid off the jar, while the other just sat in it and did nothing. After awhile, the lids were removed - and the first mouse, who never stopped trying to get that lid off - finally escaped from his jar. The second mouse remained in his jar for the rest of his life. Why? Because he still envisioned the jar had the lid - so he never bothered trying to get out.
The morale of that story is this - only you are responsible for limiting the possibilities in your life. If you rationalize that you will never be able to do something because of a certain situation or circumstance - then I guarantee you never will. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
So try surrounding yourself with a few words of wisdom or positive sayings and see what happens.....you may be surprised at the outcome!
