Car Troubles
It would appear that my mini van is on its last legs. I have had it for the past four years and have loved all the space that I have had in it. I even took out the middle seat, so I would have even more room to put groceries in to it and give me space for the kids' things.
But alas - as it is 10 years old now, and the mileage is 250 km, things are starting to go on it. And that can get very expensive - and dangerous, especially with the children. It will stall out sometimes or just not turn over. Not good. So in the meantime, I have been driving my husband's car which is much newer than my own (2005) but its just so small and cramped compared to my van.
The only good thing about driving my husband's car is that it has a CD player in it. And I just recently bought myself a great little CD called "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. I haven't purchased a CD in such a long time, but I HAD TO, as this CD is fantastic (and I believe it is already three years old), but I love the song Unwritten. I play it in the car every chance I get on low (my son rolls his eyes everytime I put it on) but then he smiles and sings along. It has become my theme song and is the most uplifting song I have ever heard. If you want to hear it click here and listen for free.
So that is my first requirement for our new vehicle - must have a CD player.
But I don't look forward to going car shopping and having to go through the whole thing with car salesmen. It's just so frustrating. But I do know what I do want and what I don't - so that helps. :)
I am a big fan of SUV's, and if I could choose a colour, I think I would choose red or black. I don't think we will be buying new, but rather, two or three years old. My dream vehicle is the BMW SUV, but as we are on a strict budget, I will stick with whatever works best for the family - but hey - a girl's gotta have her dreams. :)
If you have any suggestions on a great vehicle, let me know. I'm always curious to know what other families are driving and what vehicles are the most reliable and safe.
