Understanding Your Website
I thought I would share some handy info with moms out there who are thinking of creating their own website, or already have a website up and running. Did you know that just because you have a website, doesn't necessarily mean that people will find you? Keep in mind that there are literally millions of other websites out there - and hoping by sure luck, that people will eventually stumble on your site, doesn't make good business sense.
So what should a person do if they want their website to be found with relative ease? There are things that can be done to assist your website to be found on the net - boost your visitors - and in turn, boost your business...
One of the suggestions that was made to me by Jessica Wolfe is Key word Analysis. Jessica's background has been in Internet Marketing and Advertising for the past ten years, working for one of the largest advertising organizations in Canada. She now has her own consulting business helping small businesses get found.
Here's are some of her tips about Keyword Analysis and how it can help your website.
A Keyword Analysis can
- Determine the most effective words and phrases for your website content and pay per click advertising.
- It will allow niche markets to be unveiled and brings qualified visitors to your site who will lead to conversion such as a sale, phone call, subscription or newsletter.
- It can get your business found on search engines, it increases recognition and credibility to your visitors and allows you to rise above your competition by discovering keywords and key phrases with high search volume and low competition.
- It will give you a list of about 10 of the best words and phrases to bring you targeted leads. It will also be of great value when creating pay per click campaigns and writing articles /press releases to promote your website.
- Assuming people are searching for your keywords, doesn't mean they are - and if they aren't, you could wind up spending a lot of money and time pursuing a ranking that will either never happen, or will provide very little traffic and value to your site.
- A Keyword Analysis is the foundation for your marketing campaign and will determine the success of your website on the internet. It will allow you to make informed decisions and give you the best chance for success.
