When they asked the little girl where her home was she replied - Where mother is

Short and Sweet

PencilThis past weekend was a great wind down from the week before with the Launch Party for Enterprising Moms Network. I spent the entire weekend just enjoying my children and really relishing in the fact that I am a stay at home mom.

I've been a stay at home mom now for almost three years and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. And although I love helping other moms find a way they can be at home too - nothing will ever compare to a hug or a laugh or the words "I love you" from my children...

And this weekend, although great for unwinding, wasn't much fun for my children as they both caught nasty colds. And my son was looking forward to attending a birthday party this past Sunday. But I would never send my son to a gathering with other children when I know he is sick...it really bothers me when I see a parent do it - I never want to be "one of those parents" who really isn't concerned about passing it on to other children.

In addition, he was supposed to go and spend the night over at his grandparents - so that just added insult to injury. But the good news is that he didn't dwell on it too much as we tried to come up with other fun things to do from home.

Playing pretend in our household is a big thing (I loved to do it when I was a little girl - so I've passed it on to my son - and he's quite good at it). We played pirates, camping, Police and even Train ride. My daughter loves all these games too - so we all get involved with playing pretend. And on a rainy weekend, with their colds - it really lifted their spirits - and mine too! :)
