It's All Good
Have you heard about FUNPASS? It is a a great social gathering for women to get out and have some FUN!
This Wednesday, Nov 28th, FUNPASS is hosting a Purse Party in conjunction with the Delta Leader at the Delta Town and Country Hotel from 5 - 9pm. Women can enjoy shopping, sipping on their favourite spirit and have some fun (of course!). Women are encouraged to bring their gently used purses to donate to Delta Association for Child Development. Admission is by donation. Visit their website at www.funpass.ca for more info.
In addition, on Thursday, Nov 29th, I will be speaking at MamaSpeak, an organization for new moms. I will be speaking on the options for moms as they broach the end of their maternity leave. I want moms to know about what their options are and how they can be closer to home for their children - and of course - how to make it financially viable! For further information, visit www.mamaspeak.com
On another note - this past weekend, the family went in to Vancouver for my husband's Xmas party for the children. It was held at the Hotel Vancouver - and they had a blast. Santa was there, gifts were given out, they were able to decorate gingerbread men, bounce in the bouncy castles, eat a ton of candy and pizza, and get their faces painted.
The downside was that it coincided with the Santa Parade in Vancouver - and as we were leaving - the parade was just getting started.
We had unfortunately parked on the wrong side of the street, and couldn't find a way across the parade route. We ended up taking an underground parking lot that linked up with the Pacific Centre...and then once we were in the car, we had to brave the traffic that had all been rerouted down side streets.....deep breath....its all over now.. and I can smile about it....but with two chidren hyped up on gingerbread cookies and candies confined to a car that wasn't moving...well, you get the picture...next year, I pray the company rethinks the day they have it on!
And how was your weekend? ;)
