The Stay at Home Mother

Ever have one of those "challenging" days when your health, your children and all the tiny details of your life, seem to have all piled together to make your life a little bit more difficult?

I'm feeling a bit low today, as I have laryngitis with an extremely sore throught and a terrible cold. And of course, I don't have a lot of energy - so the children some how have sensed this, and have decided to take full advantage....

To make matters worse, some things that I planned have appeared to have taken a side ways turn and added undue stress on me this season. So I am especially feeling a bit "challenged" and a bit low.

And of course, this is the season to feel happy, and blessed for all the things we have in our lives....family, security, friends and a roof over our heads...and I do feel very blessed.

So of course, there is that "Pressure" to feel joy, even when all I want to do is crawl under the sheets and have someone say "there, there, - "there, there...Everything will be ok...." ;)

The thing is - we all have days like this - its just how we choose to handle it when we feel like this...do we bring everyone else down around us....or do we try to see beyond these trying times and recognize that it will pass?

I choose to look beyond today and not dwell on it - After all....I am rarely sick.

So looking forward to the weekend, and who knows...I may get a "sleep in day" one morning that will help put me back on the healthy track - and feeling back to my old self and in the Holiday Spirit once again. :)
