Cranium has developed two really interesting games specifically designed for Preschoolers. They've used the concept of Cranium and applied it to children- and have called it Cranium Bloom. The games they have developed are creative and fun.

Cranium believes in nurturing a child's natural genius - and each game helps your child discover, perform, create and connect with the world around them. And my son could harldly wait to start playing them...

The first one we played was called Let's Play, Count & Cook game. He loves it because the game pieces are all pictures of different food. You get a little "chef" that moves around the board, and a recipe book to follow as you create different meals. When you land on a piece of food that is an ingredient in the meal, you place your piece on the menu. The "chef" who lands on the most ingredients and completes the meal - wins the game.

Chidren learn what ingredients go in to different meals, and also learn to count as they move thier "chef" forward through the game after rolling the dice.

The other game is called Let's Go To The Zoo Seek & Find Puzzle. In this game, children must put together the game board first (its' a puzzle). Then they get two books (one which is easier and one that is more thougt provoking). They have a washable pen where they can circle the answers in the puzzle. For example: A child is asked to find two things that start with the letter "K". The child then circles animals or items in the puzzle that start with that letter.

My son has played both games more than two dozen times and asks every morning if he can play them again. I think he likes them and prefers them over his other games that he received at Christmas because they are challenging and thought provoking.
