When they asked the little girl where her home was she replied - Where mother is

Snowy Christmas Days

27
Dec

SnowWith all the snow that White Rock has received over the past few days - we have been pretty much confined to the home (unless we REALLY need to get something from the store).

Today, the snow is starting to turn to slush and with it comes the possibility of flooding.

It hasn't been all that bad though - as we have really enjoyed spending this time with the children playing and keeping them entertained with the Wii (and us too!)....

I love the Wii because it keeps you moving. You aren't sitting isolated infront of a computer playing video games, but rather are up moving and feeling like you are IN the game. Of course, my five year old son has already figured it all out and beats his mom every time we play....am I really THAT old?!

My back is healing nicely since I was hit on Christmas Eve.

That's right - I was hit by a car on Christmas Eve.

I was putting my two year old daughter in her car seat in a parking lot when the woman beside us in her SUV, backed out of her spot.

The problem was that she was too close to my car, and as she backed up, her side mirror bashed in to my open door on my daughter's side, and crushed me in between the door and her vehicle.

If she had kept going I would have been toast. But she stopped when she heard me scream. I just feel lucky that my daughter wasn't in my arms when it happened.

There was little I could do until she unjammed her car from my door. I was literally pinned and unable to breathe.

Turns out she was a mom (without her children that day) and wasn't paying attention when she was backing out. She apologized - but of course - the damage cannot be undone to my body.

My back took the brunt of it - and besides being bruised and swollen on Christmas Day (and a bit shaken up) I survived the whole ordeal.

And how was YOUR Christmas!?
