Welcome 2009!
Well, we are now off and running in the New Year. I am still in holiday mode, and am trying desperately to readjust to getting back in to routine.
My son returns to kindergarten on Monday. My daughter's third birthday is just around the corner on the 17th, so lots of things to think about - plus.....
The Christmas tree will be coming down tomorrow, along with all the decorations.
The only upside to taking the tree to get chipped is the money that is raised for charity. Each year volunteers come out to help shred the trees.
That - and the fact that the volunteers happen to be handsome firemen. :)
Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I have blogged about this before, but I will reiterate here that I don't believe in resolutions...only goals.
I have a few of them that I hope to acheive this year, but mostly I just want to remain a stay at home mom and continue helping other moms do the same thing.
I am teaching again this month on January 14th at Small Business BC. The Seminar I am teaching is called "The Entrepreneurial Mom, starting a home-based business." You can check it out at www.smallbusinessbc.ca under the Seminar tab.
Also, Enterprising Moms Network is starting up our meetings again in mid-January. We provide support and education for moms who want to go in to business for themselves or have an existing business.
It's a great opportunity to meet other moms in your area and network, as well as hear the speakers each month. You can even become a "Virtual member", if you don't have a chapter in your area yet.
Check it out at www.enterprisingmomsnetwork.com
And enjoy the last bit of chocolate and over - eating today, because if you are anything like me - those extra "holiday pounds" have got to go this month!
