The Stay at Home Mother

So each year its a family tradition to try and fool the ones the ones we love. Some years I come up with something really eleborate for friends and family and some years I try to keep it simple.

The simple things I like because they really COULD have happened. The one that I really like that has been used in our family for three generations is the old "Look outside - its snowing!".....

However, this year I woke up early with my son and took him over to the window to delare that it had snowed when I was caught in mid-sentence....why? Because it really was snowing - and hard.

Are you kidding me? Nope. Snow in spring.

So instead of my standard snow joke - I had to go with animals escaped from the zoo and were running around our back yard.

Oh well - he still looked. ;)

So - I'm just waiting for someone to try one on me - but for now, it looks like April Fool's Day already played a very mean trick on me.
