The Stay at Home Mother

Ok - I admit it. I was a tad reluctant to join Twitter. I mean, who cares if I am going out to get a coffee at Starbucks? Do people really feel the need to know that? And vice-versa?

But then I started doing some research, and discovered that its more about making connections - not only reaching the people who are following you - but the people who are also following them.

And it can be really great if you want to get the word out about anything.........

So I joined and I have to admit - I get it now. I like knowing what is going on with someone else. I like the fact that people share their problems and experiences with one another on it - and I like that so many people want to help one another and connect.

And did you know that there are a ton of moms on Twitter? And you can find a mom twittering at any given hour?

My whole goal continues to be to empower moms with the skills and resources they need to be successful, strong women for themselves and for their children. So that's what I will be "tweeting" about on Twitter.

The best way to join is to take the lesson that Twitter shows you on the website and then once you choose your "id" - start following other people's twitters - and soon enough, you will find people following you.

But be careful - Twitter can get addictive real fast. It's like Facebook only much quicker. And with only 140 characters, you need to be concise.
