Happy Mother's Day!
Today my children are making me breakfast in bed (with the help of their father) and I'm looking forward to spending the morning with them.
I think I may even be able to fit in reading time with a book I've been wanting to read! This afternoon I will be out in my garden planting flowers.
I have been waiting for the last month to plant flowers, as each year I tend to buy too early and the frost gets to them - and I have to buy them all over again.
This past week, I wrote a Mother's Day article in the Surrey NOW. It's all about "Mom-isms" we pick up through the years.....
It's so funny because we can all remember things our mothers said to us and how we all vowed never to use them.
I caught myself using one a couple of weeks ago when my daughter was crossing her eyes being silly - which prompted my article. I told her "Your eyes are going to stay that way!". It was definately my mother's voice coming out of me.
This past week I was able to get out with both my mom and my mother-in-law for some time out together. It was nice and we weren't interrupted every few seconds with "Mom - look what I can do!".

And to every wonderful mother out there today - Happy Mother's Day!
