Back to School
Well its been one week with my children both at school, and I'm finding that its not so much them who are having an issue with the new routine - as it is me.
Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that they are now both off and running, but I don't think I was prepared for the reality of figuring out my own time now.....
This year has been a year full of transitions. My son is now in grade one which means full school days. My daughter started pre school, which means she has two hours twice a week at her school.
So for me, I am in the transition of a mom who once had very dependant babies and toddlers, to a mom who has preschool and grade school children.
I know many moms who once again go through a similar transition when their children become teenagers (aggghhh!).
It's all about evolving and changing and being able to foster that change and make it exciting for the children.
So I am embracing the change with a smile and a hug as they head off to school (with a note in their lunch packs that reminds them that mom is thinking of them).
