Happy New Year!
On the Eve of what is another year gone, and another year to be - I can't help but reflect on all the wonderful things that has happened this past year. 2006 was full of suprises (including me having a girl!), getting a syndicated opinion column, and launching my business to help other moms like me. I am more settled in my life than I have ever been and I wonder what 2007 has in store. I do know that January is going to be a very busy month with the upcoming lunch and learn with Sandra Wilson of Robeez, my daughter's first birthday and a quick trip to Las Vegas at the end of January with my husband.
We spent the afternoon today at Art Knapps, so my son could play with the trains there. He loves Thomas the train. He hasn't really been playing that much with his trains lately - but for some reason, today, he wanted to go there. We really didn't have a lot of things planned for today, so we agreed. They even had a big train ride there for the kids today, so it was his lucky day.
The night tonight is pretty uneventful (take out from Bo-Kong, a fantastic vegetarian restaurant in Richmond/Vancouver - and no, we are not vegetarian), and pizza for my son. We rented the latest Will Farrell race car movie and hope that we get the chance to actually watch it. Then, if all goes according to plan - a toast with champagne at midnight. Sometimes an unrushed, quiet night in, to ring in the New Year can be just as much fun as the social party ones, don't you think?
