Days Like This
Every now and then despite the sleepless nights with my daughter or the early morning wake up call with my son, I find myself thinking how lucky I am to wake up with my children and get to be with them the whole day. And yes, even though there is no shut off time for me and I rarely am able to put two hours together for myself for "mommy time" because they are still very young and need me here (my husband is good, but let's face it - no one can really replace mommy) - it is still all worth it.
My son and daughter are now really interacting together and playing really well. Although I have to referee every now and then when my son gets too rambunctious with his playing, it is still nice to see that they have each other to entertain. And now with my daughter walking (and running) everywhere, they have a lot of fun just chasing each other.
It does seem strange to see my daughter running though. She took her first step at 10 months and really started moving at 10 1/2 months. My son didn't take his first step until he was 12 months, so I was a little suprised that she arrived at this stage so early. Her first birthday is this month. I am getting her a Bamboletta Doll. If you aren't familiar with them, you should check out the website. Absolutely fabulous. And soft. She will love it.
