First Day of Kindergarten
Yesterday was my son's first day to kindergarten. It was a day filled with lots of excitement and worry (on my part).
My son embraced the day and woke up early to get a head start. We talked over breakfast about what he could expect and he nodded enthusiastically when asked if he was really looking forward to it....
From Preschool to Kindergarten
So it's count down time for kids - and parents - to start thinking about school. For my son, its a whole new chapter in his life. He is starting kindergarten. And as many parents know - any type of routine change is major in a child's life. So what are some of the things we can do as parents to make the transition easier on them?....
Musings
So tomorrow is my birthday and it seems that the older I get - the less I want to broadcast my age. However, I always said I NEVER wanted to become one of those women who never said how old she was - so in keeping with that - tomorrow I turn the ripe old age of 36.
I think the biggest problem with turning 36 is that I am no longer in my true mid-thirties. Now, I am infact closer to 40 than ever before, and despite what everyone says about 40 being the "new 30" - it still bothers the heck out of me...
The Long Awaited Day
Well - the day that I knew was fast approaching, finally happened. This past Monday morning, I made the walk to my son's new elementary school to register him for kindergarten.
I thought I had given myself plenty of time (as I arrived one hour before the school opened) but I was very suprised with what I discovered when I arrived....
